Trekking through nature never fails to provide me with the most amazing sights. Even though I hail from this beautiful planet that we call earth, some of the things I’ve seen on my journeys are otherworldly. Aside from the alluring visuals and vivid colors that mother nature paints with, there are also a bunch of living, breathing, animal companions out there as well. In this instance, I was taken back by a little red squirrel who had claimed an old oak as his own. Perched high up in the dead branches the pocket-sized critter keeps an eye on his surroundings. He stares at me as I harmlessly capture him in a few photos. It was as if he knew when I had finished the impromptu photo shoot because once I put my camera down, he went back on about his business scurrying all around his tree.
